So you could say that I’m excited about finally reading cold hard evidence that the new Red Hot Chili Pepper’s forthcoming album “I’m With You” is going to be release this August.  In fact, you could say it’s my most anticipated mainstream release coming out this summer.  This article from Rolling Stone Magazine is excellent so I thought I’d share it (to anyone who happens to be reading me at this early stage).

Here are my questions:

No doubt, without John Frusciante no longer on board the album will surely sound different, but will it be an improvement?

Will the sound be more poppy than previous albums (that’s hard to imagine) or will it drift back to their funk-rock roots?

How will Flea’s new knowledge of music theory impact the Pepper’s sound?

Exactly how many piano driven grooves are we talkin’ here?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Simply cannot wait to hear what the new lineup sounds like. So far the new song “The Adventures of Raindance Maggie” is on par with their last few albums, though the guitar lines sound different. Red Hot Chili Peppers will rule Labor Day at my house, that’s for sure!
